Appointment Question
Whether to shampoo your hair before your hair color or your up style?
So one of the biggest misconceptions is that hair color will take better when your hair is dirty. This is not always the case, so just keep in mind that if your hair is to the point that you don’t want to touch it either do we. It is very important that you shampoo your hair two or three days before your scheduled appointment.
By doing so you have a little bit of oil to help counteract any kind of itching. This is especially key if you’re having a non-scalp lightening service. You may have a little bit of oil on your hair. If your hair is super oily it can prohibit the color from processing. The oil will act as a repellent.
With that being said, you don’t want to come in with super fresh hair. Do not wash your hair the morning before coming in for a styling service. Keep in mind it is important to have clean dry hair whenever you come in for your up style. This allows us to prep your hair however we want. It also lets us add any kind of dry shampoo to get your desired grit and texture.
So in short, clean dry hair for your up style and color. Come prepared for your next appointment. This way we can just jump right in and get started with whatever service you’re having done.
